Joints represent joints, connections between bones. They ensure the mobility of different parts of the body and, together with the muscles, enable movement. Any problem, damage or injury can cause difficulty in movement and cause pain.

There are various causes that lead to joint and muscle pain, from degenerative changes, inflammatory processes, injuries, etc. These pains have different intensities, from mild discomfort to intense and debilitating pain. Even short-term pain and swelling in the joint affect the quality of life.

The goal in the approach to treating people with diseased joints is to relieve them of pain and improve joint mobility. Due to the side effects (bleeding from the GIT and cardiovascular disorders) of drugs that calm pain and inflammation, drugs under the common name of symptomatic slow-acting drugs (eng. Symptomatic slow-acting drugs for OA-SYSADOA) are increasingly being used.

Synergistic effect of local and per os therapy

Local application of the gel with analgesic and anti-inflammatory effects in combination with per os administration of the drug will certainly give the best results in the treatment of diseased joints.

Gels are used that contain menthol in combination with alcohol that bloods, cools and helps to better absorb active substances. As local application is not sufficient for complete healing of the affected joints, therapy in the form of capsules, tablets, etc. is always added. We have already said that we try to avoid drugs against pain and inflammation that would have harmful effects on other organ systems. Then we have to be skilled in choosing such medicine, because they must contain substances that have a symptomatic effect.

Boswellia serrata-Indian frankincense
The active ingredients of this plant interfere with the work of enzymes that cause swelling and inflammation of the joints, which is why this plant is used to relieve the symptoms of arthritis.
The active substance – boswellic acid is the strongest inhibitor of 5-lipooxygenase, the enzyme responsible for inflammation. Which leads to a decrease in the number of leukotrienes – mediators of inflammation.

Together with collagen, it affects better mobility and thus cartilage nutrition. It is extremely important to choose the right, freeze-dried biological collagen.

We should not forget that in addition to these most important active substances, the preparation should also contain other components such as chondroitin sulfate and hyaluronic acid.
